This is a collection of photographs from several years ago. I use to make toys to sell to make a bit of "pin" money when my two boys were very young. The Mister Blobbys' were all for one friend who had 3 nieces.

This I made for my Great Nephew Jake, who was born 30th December 2011. I made it before he was born as his parents knew what they were having.

This penguin I made for my Mum's 75th Birthday which was in January this year. Mum loves penguins and luckily I had a rubber stamp of a penguin which I was able to create a larger version of in cake!!

This adorable hippo I've just knitted for my great nephew. He hasn't received it yet as I've not been able to visit him yet, but hopefully in the next few weeks I will be able to and hopefully he will love it!!

Here is a selection of photo's of things that i've created over the past 20 plus years (as i didn't take photos before that time). Mostly they are of toys and jumpers that I have knitted for my two sons and for other mum's at that time. I'm especially pleased with the "batcave" that I created for my two boys when they where young. I had originally bought them a "wendy House". It was made from plastic and eventually that plastic split and I threw that bit away. My eldest son was mad on Batman with his younger brother always playing the part of Robin when they played. So I decided to turn the wendy house into a batcave. I got some black material and made the shaped tent then worked out some applique for the batman and Robin faces. They were very pleased with the result. Most of the picture jumpers that I knitted were from a pattern, but there are a few that I made up the designs for myself.
The other pictures are from more recent items that I have made. Hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I have enjoyed making them.

I.ve decided to set up this blog page to show off all that I have created over the years. I first learnt to knit when I was 5 years old. I remember sitting beside my mum as she taught me "needle in , yarn round, through and off". I have been knitting every since, and learnt to crochet along the way as well. I have enjoyed knitting toys, clothes and soft furnishings.

I can also sew, embroider, cross stitch, make greeting cards, bake cakes  and generally do anything crafty.

I hope you enjoy looking at what I have created and if you have any questions or your own tips that you would like to pass on then please join me!!
