I have been quite busy making cards for birthdays in January. This one is for my best friends' daughter who will be 30 this year.
This card is for my very best friend Janet whom i have known since I was about 5. We will both be 50 this year. We are going to the Ritz in June, along with another friend who was 50 in October, for afternoon tea. I am looking forward to it.
A birthday card for my mum. There are white roses around the edge and white leaves. The centre is a die cut shape, which I have inked the edges and used a rubber stamp for the word mum.
This birthday card I have stitched on. I have an embossed background, orange ribbon either side of the main picture and orange and blue flowers as decorations.
This pretty card is for a friend in my craft club. I hope she will like it.
Yet another friend who will be 50 this year. We met when we both were 16 and starting our first job together. We have been friends ever since.
and lastly, this card is for my sister-in-law. I used a doocraft kit of art deco. The topper has been layered in decoupage and I have used lilac as a layer, and also the card is lilac. The jem was clear but I used lilac promarker to colour the centre in before sticking onto some black feathers.
HAVE A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR. LOOKING FORWARD TO CREATING MORE NEXT YEAR.

This Christmas card I made a while ago, and I think I have already shown it on my blog. But I have now made the box to go with it. I have used memory box die "Frosty border" but have curled it slightly so that it goes around the box better. The card is domed slightly through the window. I have used acetate behind window and decorated it memory box and spellbinders. Poinsettia flower again - it is so versatile it looks great no matter what colour you use.Hope you like it.

This birthday card was done for a gentleman of 83. He was pleased with it as it reminded him of his childhood.
This believe it or not is a knitted meerkat. I would like to say that it was "simples" to make, but the knitting pattern wasn't that easy to follow and there were a few mistakes in the pattern that I noticed as I was knitting. I added the Christmas hat myself, as it is for a friend who loves the meerkats on tv. I hope she recognises it as a meerkat !!!! lol !!!
This card I have made for someone in my craft club. It's stitched, then added a flower (spellbinders anemoe) I used promarkers to colour in the edge of the flower to combine the colours. The background is 2/3 embossed on cream and 1/3 plain brown. I added the finishing touches of a ribbon and some swirly pearls.
Just iced my Christmas cake last night. Kept the design simple, with gold and silver alternate balls around the edge. Then added all my decorations on top.

Here are the photos of the six small Christmas cakes that I have made for gifts. They are about 6 x 4 inches in size. I decorated them with fabric poinsettas that I bought in the pound shop. Then i used either gold or silver edible balls around the edge. I hope they taste ok as I have now given them out.

These are the "big" crackers that I have made for Christmas. They are 12 inches long and 3 inches wide. Luckily I only had to make 6. I have bought little pressies for each person that I hope they will like or will laugh at. I have also bought a lottery scratchcard for everyone- I hope one of us will be lucky!!!!!

This plaque i have made for my craft room. The plaque comes from Christine Emberson (www.hope-chances.blogspot.com) I have decorated with a stitched design, backing paper, ribbons, flowers and gem swirls. I have added a calender for 2013. This can then be replaced each year. An early Christmas pressie for myself.
This stitched xmas card is a simple design. The pale blues and mauves give a different look to the traditional Christmas colours.
