Christmas Bauble

This Christmas bauble has been made by using the Spellbinders 2011 heirloom ornaments die. Using the largest die I cut out loads in Christmas paper. Once cut out I folded them in half and glued the round edge together at the widest point. Then glued each folded section together by gluing 2 spots lower down on the edge. This gave the bauble a honeycomb effect.
You can see more clearly the way that it has been glued together.
Ribbon in the centre and then finally gluing the whole thing together so that it was permanently a 3d shape. (you could have left it flat for storage - and using a paper clip or small bull dog clip to make it 3d)

This method could actually be used on any die shape - also try it using pages of a book for a more grunge look.

  5. Hi Janice
Yes, these are lovely, especially as you can make them to match your festive colour scheme. Becca Feeken and John Next Door have great tutorials for these.
    Best wishes.
