Fuchsia Card

Good afternoon, hope you are enjoying this half term week if you are off with your children.

This is another stitched and beaded card, but just to add a little bit more i have made the fuchsia flowers myself, using the Cheery Lynn rose dies.  If you go on you-tube you will see how to make roses, poppies & fuchsias all from the one rose die - "Pink Frog Crafts" do a good tutorial. I have also seen them at the craft shows where they demonstrate them too.

A close-up of the stitching and beadwork.

A close-up of the fuchsias. i have used green flower-arranging tape to hold all three flowers together and stuck a small green bow on top.
The background papers and topper comes from "Making Cards" magazine. There were 2 background papers i could have used on the front. I decided to use the smaller all-over design on the front and the other sheet as my insert - as it has space to write on.
A side view. The large swirl is also a Cheery Lynn die.  I have not just stuck this down onto the card, but have part of it behind, and part on top of the stitched part. Also have done the same with the strip of ribbon - just to add a different look. Two strips of ribbon across the bottom complete the decorations. I haven't added a sentiment of any kind at the moment until i know who to send it to.

Have a good rest of the day, thanks for stopping by. x

  1. This is gorgeous Janice, so, so pretty. Well done on making your fuchsia, looks so real, beautiful papers too which add to the beauty of the card, to top all that is your wonderful sewing and beading, do you make the patterns up yourself or do you have a pattern book or something as you have so many different patterns and all beautiful?

    Have a nice day.

    Love & Hugs

  3. Hi Janice
I'm a big fuchsia fan and love this gorgeous card.
I do mine with a Britannia Rose die. Its is good value when you can get different flowers from one die.
    Have a great weekend.
