Another Quick Spare Birthday Card.....

Morning all, well here we are again, another last day of the month......where does the time go ?????

Following on from yesterday, I've made another spare birthday card. I've used the hunkydory butterflies toppers etc.
Kept it simple for now, can always add more of a sentiment....when i know who it's for !!!

I've been busy decorating all week.....painting, cleaning, gardening....aching bones all over !!! Luckily nearly at the end, then I can get back to some serious crafting !! Doesn't seem like I've been doing much, although I'm still knitting spiders and pumpkins, as I've received quite a few orders.

Sorry If I've been neglecting all your blogs....just not enough hours in the day !!

Have a good day and see you all next month LOL !!! x

Girly Card...............

Morning all, a quick blog today..... I've been making a few birthday cards for my friends birthdays in October ( I'll show you them next month), but here is a spare card that i would do for a (just in case i forget birthday LOL !!)

The topper is from hunkydory. I've just layered onto pink card, using Sue Wilson Noble die. Then added pink and lemon flowers on the bottom corner and 1 flower on the top.
Pretty in Pink !!!

Morning all, sorry I've not had a blog for the last couple of days. Two reasons:- 1, I've been decorating & 2, I've not been feeling too good....(maybe overdone the decorating LOL !!)

Anyway, I'm back today !!!

I've decided to stop making Halloween stuff for now, as I haven't got another craft fair until the end of October and don't want to have too much stock left over.

So I decided to concentrate on Christmas. Here is Mr.Frosty (Mrs. Frosty on her way soon !!). It's from a pattern booklet by Jean Greenhowe. I've had the pattern over 20 years, since my boys were young.
He is about 8 inches high, and I've used a DK sparkly white wool to knit him.
Side view of his nose (not quite a carrot shape !!)

Following my craft fair last Sunday.....I have to report back that it was the worst one (as in money taken) that I've done. It was a lovely hall in a village, and was well advertised.....but not many people and not many buyers!!! Most of the stallholders managed to make the table costs and a little extra. My friend and I only took enough to cover the table cost and there were a couple of stallholders that didn't even make that !!

It's very dis-heartening, especially when your whole day is taken up with the event, and it's very tiring too (perhaps that added to me not feeling too good).

I'm hoping for better things when I do the other craft fairs in Nov & Dec. A lady, that my friend knows said a very wise thing about craft fairs......she said "people don't go to a craft fair looking for any specific thing.....but when they see something they like they buy it".....I'm hoping the people who come to the next craft fair like ""everything""".

See you again soon. x

Halloween Makes........

Morning all, hope you are enjoying your weekend so far.  I'm doing a craft fair today from 11-3, so no Sunday roast will be cooked today for my husband and son.  It actually works out ok, as my husband has gone fishing, and wont be back until this evening, and my son is at work, so I'll be able to cook a meal tonight.......and we will all be so hungry that we wont mind what it is LOL !!!!

I thought I would take a photo of the halloween makes that I've done. As you can see there are spiders, pumpkins, coffin boxes and tea-lights.
Hopefully I will be returning home with a few missing today.....will let you know tomorrow.
I have had orders to knit some of these, so I will be busy knitting next week to try and complete the orders in time for halloween.

Enjoy the rest of the day, and thanks for popping by. x

Baby Boy Blue......

Morning all, well, here we are's Friday !!!! Another week about to finish, and would you believe one more week left of September LOL !!

I've noticed a dip in the temperatures in the morning and evenings now, and it's getting darker earlier every night.

I've been trying (unsuccessfully ) to tidy my craft room wouldn't believe the seems to be ganging up on me and piling up in corners, on the tables and in corners.....I don't know where it's all come from - honestly !!!

Whilst in the midst of tidying, I came across some lemon card blanks. Don't know how long I've had them but they only cost me £1.45 for 5 !!!!

I had some blue washi tape with yellow I decided to make a baby boy card. Not for anyone in particular, but just because !!!!

I had this LOTV topper and used Sue Wilson Noble pierced squares to make a frame.
"It's a boy" is also a new Sue Wilson Die, which co-ordinates with the frame.
I coloured some paper clay and used this teddy and rocking horse mould to create an embellishment.
That's all for today folks....enjoy your weekend. x

More Halloween........

Morning all, a little late with the blog today.....time flies when you're having fun LOL !!!!

A couple more halloween projects.

Above a pillow box for halloween treats. The die for the box is by "Crealies". One sheet of A4 card is all you need to make it. A couple of additional spooky embellishments and you're done !!!
Then these two spooky charms are made using a die by "Elizabeth Craft Designs".  I've used foam sheets to create them. The ghost is 3d and consists of 3 parts.
I've only made one of each so far......but I will be doing more ready for the craft fair on Sunday.

Thanks for all your lovely comments on my blog.......I really appreciate you taking the time to view, and comment on my blog.

Bye for now. x

PUMPKINS .........!!!!!!!

Morning all, middle of the week now and looking forward to the weekend....
Not doing a craft fair on Saturday this weekend.....but doing one on Sunday LOL !!

I made a couple of knitted pumpkins, using the King Cole Pattern that the spiders were on, and knitted in the same King Cole tinsel wool. I took them into my craft group last Friday, and one lady bought both the pumpkins and the black spider. So last Friday night I had to quickly make 2 more pumpkins ready for my craft fair last Saturday. I didn't even manage to take a photo of the first two. So here are the second two !!!!!
I can just manage to knit two out of 1 x 50 gm ball of wool, plus some oddments of green DK.

Pleased to say that I sold one of them last Saturday, so will make another one to replace him.

Some Quick Batch Christmas Cards....

Morning all, start of the new working week, and I hope it finds you in good health.

A quick blog today, showing some very CAS Christmas cards !!!

I found these small toppers in my stash, along with these pre-embossed small square cards (5.5 x 5.5 inches)
Didn't need much on them, just some small peel-offs around the image.

The toppers were part of a set "the twelve days of Christmas". As i only had 5 card blanks, I've used the images that I liked best.
Enjoy your day, and please leave a comment and come back soon !!! XXXX

My Little Brother's Birthday......

Morning all, today is my little brother's birthday.

He volunters at a animal sanctury in Kent at the weekends, where they have loads of wild cats.....lions, tigers, cheetahs etc.

He has always loved tigers, since he was a small boy.

I have made him this card, using the Pollyanna Pickering CD rom and card set.

The "Brother" is a Tonic die.
The candi is also Tiger- striped !!

Happy birthday Mike xxxxx

The craft fair yesterday started off so well. Had loads of people in, and took enough money by lunchtime, to cover the cost of the table plus a small profit. Then from lunchtime until the end was very slow. People stopped coming in and only took a little bit more money. Never mind.....still making a profit, although for all the time & effort I'm not sure if it's worth it - but i will carry on until the end of the year and then assess.

Bye for now. x

Back to Sewing On Cards.....about time too !!!!

Morning all, well another weekend is here and I'm doing a craft fair again LOL !!
Back to Eynsford Village hall in Kent. Last time I was here was in May and I did have a good day that day, so I'm hoping it will be just as good today.

I have been so busy lately, that I haven't had much time for sewing on cards, which I love doing. So I had recently done this card, using a purple thread. I decided to make it into a Christmas card. Now I know that purple isn't everybodies idea of a Christmas colour, but i love purple (as you know), and to me purple is an all year round colour LOL !!!
I had this topper from hunkydory some time, so it just seemed to be waiting for this card !!!
This is a new die from Tonic. They are called essential Simple screens, and there are 2 different ones per set, plus an edging die. I've just used the die without the edging to match my main piece. I've added white flat backed pearls to the centre of each snowflake, plus on the topper.

Pop by tomorrow with the results from today !!!! x

Some More Spiders and Coffin Boxes...

Morning all, hope you are all well and happy, and looking forward to the weekend ahead.

I've made a few more coffin boxes, as I'm doing another craft fair tomorrow.

I showed my friend my spiders last week, and she asked me to make 3 for her, so I have been busy making them for her.

She asked for a stripey one.......
 .....a blue one......
 ....and a black one.
BOO !!!!!!!!
For those of you who are going to ally pally this weekend, have a great time.....let me know what you spent your pennies on !!!

Morning all, MAWTT Challenge again today. This has been set by claire, who wanted to see "birthday cake".

Here is my card. I've used Dovecraft "cupcake boutique" for the decoupage and backing papers. I've used a Martha Stewart circle punch to create the "Doily effect" around the main image.

I've also used the papers inside the card.
I cut out some of the cupcakes on the backing papers, to add to the front of the doily.

Pop over to the MAWTT Blog challenge to see other design team's cards .....or why not enter yourself?

The blog is

Have fun !!! x

Silver Wedding Anniversary Card......

Morning all , today is my youngest brothers 25th Wedding Anniversary.

Here is the card that I have made them. I've tried to keep it simple and elegant, in just silver on white. The white card is from Crafters Companion, and has a hint of silver in it. The wording and numbers are all from Robert Addams Dies, I cant remember where I got the champagne glass die from ....maybe Marianne Dies...???
I've used peel-offs around the edge of the card, as well as on the book shaped front piece. You can't see from the photos, but I did several layers behind the main piece, all cut out of vellum. I've added 2 pieces of ribbon down the front, as well as some sparkly gem strips.
I made a box to go with it, again using peel-offs . The main wording die is from Elizabeth Crafts, the smaller wording is a Tattered Lace sentiment strip.....but I just snipped off happy anniversary once.
I hope he and my sister-in-law have a wonderful day, and many more years together.

Bye for now xx

"Ding Dong" !!!!!!!

Morning all, another day, and another Xmas Book fold done, although, this bell could signify a wedding, anniversary, or Christening.
I've kept the decoration to a minimum, and not added any wording, just in case someone doesn't want it for Christmas.
It's my youngest brother's Silver wedding anniversary tomorrow, so please pop by to see the card that I've made for him & my sister-in-law.

Bye for now x
