Easter Bunnies.......

Morning all, half way through the week..... times flies doesn't it?

Here's some more makes for my craft fairs.

A little while ago, I made roses in crepe paper, covering a lollipop for Mother's day gifts. With the ones I had left over I thought I would make Easter gifts instead. So I threw away the roses and made Easter bunnies out of card. The larger ones have bows and "faux" stitching on and the smaller ones, I've just used a pink sharpie pen and coloured in the ears !!

I did a craft fair on Monday, and these sold really well.....so will have to make some more for Friday's craft fair.

Busy, Busy, Busy LOL !!!

Bye for now x

Anniversary Card for My Parents....

Morning all, hope you are all well and happy.

Today is my parents wedding anniversary. It's 59 years today. Mum keeps reminding me that I'll have to let the Queen know that it's their 60th Wedding anniversary next year, so that the Queen will send congratulations to them both !!

Anyway, this is the card that I've made. I have chosen the colour scheme to match the Hunkydory sentiment and image. I've embossed a piece of black card with an embossing folder,  then using a gold polish have high-lighted areas of the card so that the embossing stands out more. The wording is a die by "Elizabeth Crafts". The flower has been made by combining two shades of yellow fabric flowers (that I bought from the £1 shop) and adding a black sparkly flat backed gem in the centre.
 Lovely words .....
Have a great day, Mum & Dad, and of course, everybody else. xx

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY......

Morning all, hope you're having a lovely relaxing day, being thoroughly spoilt !!

I've scheduled this blog, so can't comment on how my day is going. My eldest wasn't able to get home for this weekend, but I have a card and a package arrive in the post for me to open today. My youngest bought me flowers yesterday, and some t-shirts the other day whilst we were out shopping together.

I will be cooking the dinner as normal......but just maybe the washing up will be done for me (fingers crossed).

I did a craft fair on Friday evening in my village hall. It was a pamper night with stallholders. I was expecting to do very well, as in the past when I've done a pamper event, people are more interested in having the pamper sessions rather than buy anything. But actually I did really well !! There were quite a few children there, who wanted to buy things from me.

My mother's day chocolate bars went well, but I did have some left over. So I've taken those wrappers off and did new ones for Easter !! (if they don't sell they will be re-wrapped for father's day LOL !!!!)

I used Sue Wilson die for the Easter eggs and wording, along with some Easter confetti that i bought ages ago. The papers were from a cheap pad that I've had forever and never used !!
Doing another craft fair on Monday, so will let you know how I get on.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend. x

Cardio Stamps Card.....

Morning all, well here we are another weekend is upon us !!!

I recently received some knitting/crochet/craft patterns from Mrs Duck (another blogger), and along with them was a lovely card she made using cardio stamps.

I thought it was lovely, and by chance, my friend has some cardio stamps. So I've had a go at doing a similar ccard

Have a good weekend. Bye for now x

Dumbo....The Worlds Cutest Elephant !!

Morning all, hope you are all well & happy. Did you all enjoy spring??? It happened last week and now we've bypassed summer and gone back to Autumn Lol !!

On a brighter note, my son's girlfriend is home for a couple of weeks. She is teaching in Dubai for a year. It was her birthday in February. I didn't post a card to her, but instead have made her this belated birthday/ welcome home card.

She loves Dumbo (don't we all) and I found a pattern on pinterest. It was supposed to be for hot fix crystals, but works equally well with my sewing on card. I used a pink/silver/black sparkly thread, and added googly eyes afterwards.

Once again using my Sue Wilson Noble square die. I didn't want to add any wording so just added a small butterfly.

 hope she likes it !!

Thanks for popping by, and hopefully I will see you all again soon. x

Results.....Not !!!!!

Morning all, hope your weekend is going great so far.

Did the craft fair yesterday, and what a waste of time that was !!!

When my friend and I was approached and asked if we would like a stall, we were told it was a fund raising day for the scouts.

What it actually was on the day, was a jumble sale !!! There were only 4 stalls, including us, that were selling new items. The rest of the stalls (about 12) were all full of jumble. There were no scout's about on any stalls, just the parents (i presume), no stalls with things that the scouts had made to sell. Nothing.

What was worse, was that there were no people coming in to buy either !!!

I sold an owl key-ring, my friend sold a hedgehog key-ring. The other stalls that were selling new things didn't sell anything. It should have been from 10-2, but we started packing up just after one.

A complete waste of time - oh well, I'll put that down to experience and move on.

I'm doing another stall on Friday evening at a pamper night event. Hopefully to better then.

Bye for now, and thanks for listening to me moan LOL !! x

Chocolate Bars for Mother's Day.....

Morning all, a very quick blog today, as I'm out doing a craft fair this morning. Managed to decorate 10 chocolate bars ready to sell for Mother's day pressies.

Christine Emberson, first showed this a few years ago, before I started doing craft fairs, such a simple idea, but very effective.
A close-up of some of the bars.....

I'm doing another craft fair before Mother's Day, so hopefully will sell them all. If not, I can always take the wrappers off and re-decorate, ready for Father's day LOL !!! That's if I hide them away from him indoors LOL !!!

Bye for now x

Flying High !!!!

Morning all, hope the week has treated you ok so far, and that you are looking forward to the weekend.

It's my Ex husbands birthday next month, and although I always make him a card, I don't normally put in as much effort as I've done for this card. (I know that sounds mean.....but he is my ex for a reason !!)

Anyway, it's his 60th birthday and he is arranging to go up in a spitfire for a flight. I was given this decoupage airman (which was attached to another plane- but I cut that off) so I thought I must use it for him. I went on google images - a great place to find backgrounds etc - and found this image of spitfires taking off.

I've backed it onto red, and then navy card stock, then added the airman on the front, along with the happy birthday and the number "60".

Hope he likes the card, and his flight.

I'm doing a craft fair tomorrow, so will report back with the outcome over the weekend.

Have fun, and thanks for stopping by xx

MAWTT CHALLENGE - flowers.....

Morning all, it's that time again - the MAWTT challenge. This month it's set by Jenny, who wants to see handmade or die cut flowers.

I've made these small flowers by layering and colouring, then adding gems in the centre.

The vase is made from a circle of card, folded. Then i added a doily. The candi at the bottom ties in nicely with the colours.

Pop over to mawtt blog to see the other DT entries.....or why not enter yourself. No prizes, but just fun. x

Morning all, hope your week is going great so far. Lovely sunny day here in Kent yesterday....let's hope it continues everywhere.

After making a few more owl key rings, I decided to make a few more clown fish key rings. I did orange and yellow ones then decided to do other colours.
 bright blue
 sea green
I'm doing a craft fair on Saturday to raise money for scouts locally. Hopefully they will sell well.

Pop by on Thursday as it's the MAWTT Challenge again.

A Parliament of Owls...... NOT debating brexit LOL !!!!

Morning all, hope your weekend is going great so far.

A quick blog today.

Here is a few more owl key-rings that I've made for my craft fairs. All that I made last year sold, so I decided to make a few more LOL !!

I looked up what a collection of owls was called......I wonder why parliament was chosen.....I don't know of any MP who is wise.....do you ?

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. x

It's A Unicorn.......

Morning all, another weekend is upon us....where does the time go to ???
I seem to be saying that every month....don't I ???? LOL !!

Here is a little unicorn that I've just knitted.

There seems to be a lot of Unicorns around at the moment....must be the latest trend.

This week has been super busy for me. My lovely dog, Rolo, had to have a tooth taken out on Thursday....so as you can imagine I was on tenderhooks all day waiting for him to come home. He is recovering well and at the moment is sleeping beside me whilst I'm typing.
Also hubby has been doing a little bit of DIY indoors.....this always involves a lot of dust, mess and general swearing by him LOL !! But to be fair to him he always does a good job. We are re-doing the shower room, so everyone is just using the bathroom for now - which makes the morning get up and go a lot slower. Hopefully the shower room will be usable by this time next week (fingers crossed ).

Enjoy the weekend....let's hope it will be lovely and sunny and springlike xx

Morning all hope you are all well and happy.

I dont know if you've seen these cards on facebook, pinterest, or youtube, but I thought I would have a go at making one.

I looked on youtube to see how it was constructed and then made my own template.
 The side view.
 It Folds flat for posting.....
Here is the template if you want to have a go.

In A Galaxy Far, Far, Away.........

Morning all, hope you are well and refreshed after the weekend and looking forward to another week ahead.

For those of you who like Star Wars.....here is a little project that I've started.

I bought the kit, which contains the book, the wool to make two star wars characters, plus stuffing, safety eyes and a crochet hook. I bought it in the sales for £10, which was half price. (£20 was too much for this !!).

I have crochet the Stormtrooper and Yoda, and have some wool left over for other projects.

This is the back cover of the book, which contains 12 patterns to make: yoda, stormtrooper, C3PO, Princess Leia, Wicket the Ewok, Luke Skywalker, R2D2, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Boba Fett and Jabba the hutt. I don't think the humans are very good, but I certainly will be making a few of the others. Especially Chewbacca as it's my youngest son's favourite from the films and it's his birthday in April so I'll make it into a key-ring for him.
May the Force be with you today !!!!! LOL !!!!! xx

Posy Picture.......

Morning all, hope you are well and looking forward to the weekend again !!!

It was my niece's birthday yesterday......here is the card I made her.

Used a combination of stamps to create the image.
A close-up of the wording and flowers.
Had a lovely week, with my eldest son home. Went out a few days and the week just flew by. He is going home today, via a visit to some Uni friends. So I don't have to drive up to Oxford today.....just as far as Kingston-upon-Thames (which is a lot closer !!).

Will be nice to get back to normal and into the craft room again.

Enjoy your weekend x

EASTER BASKETS........

Morning all, hope you are all well & happy and are looking forward to the new month. Getting closer to spring now, and on that note....

......here are some Easter Baskets full of Easter Eggs (mini ones !!!).

I bought this Sue Wilson die at Farnborough Craft show.  I've made all the main basket pieces in white (except one in yellow), and cut the "basket" die out in different colours, so that the white shows through.

The bow and bunny are also part of the die set, along with Easter Eggs that I didn't use.

I've placed tissue paper inside the basket, before adding the Easter eggs on top.

These lovely baskets would make great wedding table favours, if just made in white with sugar almonds in.

Have a lovely day. x
