More Nordic Gnomes....This Time Christmas Tree Decorations.....

Morning all, long time no see LOL !!. Don't know where the last week went, but it went in a hurry LOL !!

I've been making felt nordic gnomes for a while now, ready for Christmas fairs. A friend of mine, brought one of these in, that she'd been given as a gift. Her one had fur fabric for the beard, but I thought I would continue with the tassel theme and make them this way.

This is the back, and you can see that it's basically a felt star with a hat ,beard  and a nose added.
I think they are great and will be making more, along with the nordic gnomes.

Thanks for popping by, hope to do more blogs soon. x

Crochet Frog......

Morning all, hope your weekend has been good so far, despite the weather !!

Doing a craft fair today (thankfully inside !!). Not sure whether it will be attended well, due to the weather forecast, but I live in hope !!

This will be on the stall ready to sell.

He is a more brighter green than in the photo, and was easy to do.

Trying to get loads of bookings now on the run up to Christmas, so must continue making bits and pieces.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. xx

Catch Up...........

Morning all, well half way through another week LOL !!!

Thought I would let you know what's been happening in my life at the moment.

Firstly, did a new venue craft fair on Friday. It was well attended, with loads of positive comments, and of course, loads of sales !! Did rather well.

Secondly, went to ally pally on Saturday. I haven't been for a couple of years and boy oh boy what a difference !!!!!! Almost half the size of what it used to be !! Very spacious, with loads of room in-between the aisles. Even people with those dreaded trolleys weren't in the way. Bought a few things - spent about £50. A couple of woodware stamps (see below), the usual red tape, glue etc. Bought a M.D.F. Christmas decoration , which I'm in the process of putting together and painting.

Thirdly, my eldest has been home for a few days, which is always lovely.

This is the first of the Woodware stamps. I've used promarkers to colour him in. Then with a white gel pen, have added a highlight on his nose.

The second Woodware stamp. Again, I've coloured in with promarkers. For the beard and hat I've used "Nellie Snellen Effect snow glue". Just swirl it over the area and when it's dry it's hard and keeps its form.

This card is made using stamps and dies from "the slow boat in China" company. I've used water pencils on the background and have drawn in the washing line. The sentiment was in my stash.
Doing another new venue craft fair on Sunday, so will let you know how I get on x

Some C.A.S Christmas Cards......

Morning all, two blogs in as many days......LOL !!

I've been buying dies from Ali express recently. They are considerably cheaper than some in uk, and although you have to wait for them to come across in the "slow boat from China", once here, are worth the wait.
Here are 3 cards using these dies.

The wording on these three cards are not from Ali Express.
Going to Ally Pally tomorrow with friends, so will report back on the spends !!

Second Dragon Finished .......

Morning all, a quick blog today, just to show the second completed dragon. This time in purple and pink.

Just love the pattern, and will certainly be making some more soon.

Also completed the second nativity scene for a customer. Must admit, i didn't enjoy making the second set. The main pattern is the same for each character (apart from Mary & the animals) so was too repetitive to be enjoyable.

Itching to start something else now......!!!

Bye for now x

Drake the Dragon......

Morning all, hope your weekend is going great, and that you're enjoying your Sunday.

I made this crochet dragon this week. I finished it on Thursday evening and put these photos on facebook. Within 20 minutes I had sold him to a friend, who co-incidentally, had just become a grandmother for the first time. It was a boy, who has been named "George", so she just had to have him!!!

I'm in the process of making another one in purple and pink, so will show photos when finished.

Not had any craft fairs this week, but starting a new venue on Friday, so hopefully will be a success. The organiser is planning on making it a regular event, so watch this space as they say.

Now today I have to send special wishes and congratulations to my family.

Firstly, it's my hubbies birthday today, and secondly, my youngest son has just got his dream job of a fire officer.

Love and kisses to both of them.

Thanks for stopping by, I look forward to putting more things on soon. x

Been Busy over the Weekend.....

Morning all, hope you all had a good weekend. Weather warming up again, which is nice, just hope it wont be too big a shock when we get the cold weather again!!!

Over the weekend, I decided to make these post-it-note holders with a calendar.
I've made them loads of times, as I sell them regularly on my stalls, but it's the first time I've added a calendar to the front.

As you can see, these ones have more decoration on them, but as the calendar takes up most of the space at the front, I decided to leave them plain.

Hopefully they will sell just as well as previous ones...... here's hoping !!

Enjoy your week, whatever you are doing. x

Nordic Gnomes.......

Morning all, hope you are well and looking forward to the weekend, even if it has been a short week ??

Here are some more Christmas makes. This time nordic gnomes. Saw a lot of these last year, and although I had crochet some of my own, I thought I would make these out of felt.

The body is basically a tube, filled with weighted plastic pellets and stuffing. The beards I have used bought tassels. I had these star buttons in my stash, which go with the nordic theme.

Only made 3 at the moment, but will be making loads more. !!!

Gift Boxes......

Morning all, hope you are all well, and enjoyed the bank holiday yesterday.
I was meant to do a craft fair yesterday, went there, but didn't like the set up. You had to park your car in one area, unload and walk through several paths to get to the field. The grass was still wet from Sunday. A few stall holders had already cancelled. So I just thought it wasn't worth it. So I came home !!
Nice surprise for my hubby, although he was doing some D.I.Y jobs for me!!

A few days ago, I made these little gift boxes. They can hold 3 t-lights or a couple of chocolates.

I started thinking of other ways that I could decorate them.........

...... and came up with these!! Halloween or Christmas.

I put the photos on my facebook page and within a couple of hours got orders for a total of 15 reindeers!!

Must admit they do look cute.

So busy now making these. Nearly finished the second set of Nativity characters for a customer. Have loads of things that I want to do, but time has started speeding up on me. Can't believe it's nearly September......where did the summer go???

Must go now, thanks for popping by and hopefully see you again soon. x

Reindeer - hedgehog......

Morning all, as you can see, I'm still concentrating on Christmas LOL !!

I made some small book fold hedgehogs as teachers gifts or graduation gifts. They sold well, so I thought about what else I could do with these small hedgehogs.

I came up with Rudolph!!

A red pompom for he's nose and pipe cleaners for antlers. Not sure if this is the finished article yet.....will let you know if I alter him later.

Soon will be the weekend. A bank holiday one too !! Enjoy x

"Who's a Pretty Bird Then?".......

Morning all, halfway through the week now. Hope yours is going great so far.

Knitted this cute budgie from a magazine recently. I made a few in blue and green. Got orders for 4, and sold a few at my craft fairs.

Quick and easy to make.

See you soon x

Christmas Eclipse cards......

Morning all, here I am again.....this time with more eclipse cards, ready for Christmas.
I've done 3 with "xmas" and 4 with "Noel".
This is using a stamp by "Chocolate Baroque"
These two are from a set of free stamps that I got ages ago.

These two are using a stamp from woodware.

And finally, these two were from a set of free stamps.
I love the simplicity of these cards.

My Christmas card stash is starting to build up quite nicely. Have you started yours yet???

By for now x

Nieces' 21st Birthday Card.....

Morning all, yes I'm still here LOL !! I know it's been such a long time since I've added a post to my blog. Just can't believe how busy I've been.

I finished off knitting the nativity scene for a customer. When I gave it to her, she took a photo and put it on her facebook page. When her sister saw it, she ordered a set too !!. So I've been busy knitting another set. In between I've made some more crochet keyrings as I was getting low on stock.

It was my nieces 21st birthday yesterday. Here is the eclipse card that I made her. It's A4 size, which shows how large the dies are that I've used for her name.
The stamps are by woodware, and Marion Emberson. The flowers at the bottom are a die by Marianne Designs.

I will be doing a few more blogs over the next few days to make up for my absence.

Both my boys are here today for Sunday Lunch, along with my youngest son's partner and their dog!!. Busy day again.

Glad to say the weather is at a more bearable temperature now. Can sleep better at night now.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and hope you can pop by soon. x

Daisy Bunting.......

Morning all, phew !! so glad the weather's broken at long last.....it's been TOO HOT !!!!!!

In this hot weather, I've not felt like doing much, but I made myself sit at the table to complete these daisy buntings. It's for a customer, who wants them for Christmas...so I'm nice and early LOL !!

Concentrating on Christmas makes now, some that you have seen before and some new things......so watch this space LOL !!

I'm taking orders now too for anyone who would like me to make something for them. Please contact me by email jdsceb@sky.com for more information.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend. xx

Finished....!!!

Morning all, well here we are again another Friday !!

I've completed this order for a customer now. It's from Jean Greenhowe. Great designs by her, with easy to understand instructions. I will be giving this to the customer next month, so I hope she will be pleased with it.

Progressing well with the daisy bunting. I will show as soon as completed.

Are you still enjoying the hot weather??? I'm beginning to wish that it would cool down a bit, especially at nighttime.

Not got any more craft fairs booked in now, until August bank holiday. Good chance for me to re-stock, complete orders and start new things....

.....I guess I'm still as busy as normal LOL !!

Bye for now. Have a good weekend x

"PHEW......I've Been Soooooo Busy!!!!"

Morning all, hope you are all well, happy and enjoying this prolonged summer!!
Shame about the football, but they carried themselves off with dignity and pride.

As the heading says, I've been so busy. Doing  Summer fetes at schools, and churches. Also have been trying to 1: complete orders for customers, 2: get my stock up to date after selling, and 3: start making new things ready for the winter months.....

This nativity set is only half complete. It's from a pattern by Jean Greenhowe, and I've made it a few times over the years!! I was asked to do another set from a customer where I go once a month. She Cheekily asked if I could complete by next month....which doesn't give me a lot of time, but glad to say I'm about half way through. Jean Greenhowe patterns are always so nice to knit.

Also have 2 daisy banners to complete. I normally take this crochet with me when I'm doing craft fairs, as it gives me something to do if it's a bit quiet and also I don't get fed up just constantly doing the same thing. These are not required until Christmas, so will show when finished.

Doing a craft fair today in a church, so luckily haven't got to take the gazebo with me. Did one yesterday and hubby had to take me to help me put the gazebo up, as it's a two-man job. Then when I had finished he came back to help me take it down again - He's such a lovely man !!!!

Whatever you are up to this weekend.....enjoy x

It's Been A While.....!!!

Morning all, hope you are all well & happy & enjoying the lovely sunny weather !!

It's been a hectic couple of weeks, with frantic decorating and cleaning going on ready for my new tenant. Glad to say, managed to get everything completed as they move in today.
You don't realise, that you're getting older until you sit down at the end of the day and can't move as your body seizes up LOL !! I've even had a nap in the afternoon on a couple of occasions LOL !!

When I did manage to summon up a bit of energy I've been knitting these beautiful toys.

The patterns are from "Knitables". They have a range of about 12 different animals and costumes. All can be interchanged. They are about 15 inches high. The patterns are easy to follow and have plenty of details to enable you to make the item correctly. I just love them !!!! I can't wait to knit some more, so watch this space !!

Have done a couple of craft fairs too, and trying to keep up with all the other chores indoors !

Hopefully now, things will settle down a bit more.

July just around the corner, and we've already had the longest day........soon be Christmas !!!!!!!!

Have a good weekend. xx
