Knitted Bee......

Morning all, I hope you are all enjoying this lovely weather.....Fingers crossed for a good bank holiday weekend !!!!!

I bought this bee pattern from "knittingbypost", and whilst I liked it....I wasn't too happy with the legs.........

....... So this is what I've done !!
As you can see, I've given him 6 legs and also added a smile to his face.

I did the local market yesterday, and although not over busy, sold a few bits and bobs. The lady that I made the sunflower for, came and picked it up. Glad to say she was very pleased with it, so much so, that she has asked me to knit a sunflower bunting for her daughters wedding later on in the year.

It was nice to get back to normality, and meet up with the other stallholders again.

My eldest son, has gone to Peru with 2 uni friends. He has been messaging me every day (so that I know he's still alive and ok), then he messaged me yesterday saying that he is about to go for a trek and won't be contactable for a few days ........I'm trying not to worry about him, but wont be happy until I hear from him again!! You never stop being a parent, no matter how old they are, do you ????

Enjoy the bank holiday, and hopefully I will see you all again soon. x

  1. Both look good to me Jan.
Yes I agree about being a parent, still worrying after nearly 40 years!!!!

  2. Hi Janice your bee is gorgeous I love the changes you have made. My mother-in-law still worries about her boys and they are all in their 60s now. It never ends. Have a great weekend. Take care. Hugs Jackie

  3. Hi Jan I don't know what is anatomically correct for a bee but looks great to me. Peru is a fascinating country and he is sure to enjoy his visit. Have a good weekend Jackie x

  4. Hi Janice
Both are fab but agree the adapted one looks better in the appendage department.
    Sounds an exciting holiday.
