It's Been A While.....!!!

Morning all, hope you are all well & happy & enjoying the lovely sunny weather !!

It's been a hectic couple of weeks, with frantic decorating and cleaning going on ready for my new tenant. Glad to say, managed to get everything completed as they move in today.
You don't realise, that you're getting older until you sit down at the end of the day and can't move as your body seizes up LOL !! I've even had a nap in the afternoon on a couple of occasions LOL !!

When I did manage to summon up a bit of energy I've been knitting these beautiful toys.

The patterns are from "Knitables". They have a range of about 12 different animals and costumes. All can be interchanged. They are about 15 inches high. The patterns are easy to follow and have plenty of details to enable you to make the item correctly. I just love them !!!! I can't wait to knit some more, so watch this space !!

Have done a couple of craft fairs too, and trying to keep up with all the other chores indoors !

Hopefully now, things will settle down a bit more.

July just around the corner, and we've already had the longest day........soon be Christmas !!!!!!!!

Have a good weekend. xx

Well, Here's One Wise Man.....LOL !!!

Morning all, another week has gone by, and I've been so busy !!!!

There are some things that I can't show as yet........patience is a virtue they will just have to see if you are virtuous LOL !!!

I can show you the beginnings of(hopefully) the full set of the nativity characters by Jean Greenhowe. I have a customer who has asked me to knit her a set. I thought I would just knit this one first, then show her and tell her the price for the whole set. If she's happy, then I can continue, If not, I'll have a wise man going cheap !!!!
I've also done a couple of craft fairs since I last did my blog. The last one was Saturday, which was quite successful, the other two - a wipeout !! I have had a bit more success with my facebook page - with some orders coming through.

Also have been to my son's house helping hubby to redecorate the bathroom. We've nearly done the whole house for them - whilst they are at work or on holidays  ...... alright for some !!

I've got a few school summer fairs coming up in the next few weeks. Don't expect to make a lot at these, but the contacts are handy ready for the Christmas season.

I'll say goodbye for now xx

"The Sly Young Fox........."

Morning all, well here we are again, it's Friday LOL !!!!! My, how time flies !!

I've been knitting this over the last week, in between other jobs !!, and think he's got a really sly/cute smile.

No more craft fairs until next Saturday, so have got time to catch up on boring things like housework ....Booooooo !!. I made husband a cake yesterday, as he's been working hard at my youngest house, redecorating the bathroom. So he deserved a little treat !!

Weather has been lovely here in Kent, I hope it's the same where you are and that it remains lovely for the weekend.

Have a lovely day and weekend , bye for now xx

Instructions for Box......

Morning all, hope you've got some free time on your hands to look at the instructions to make the box that I showed on Tuesday. It's quite in depth !!!

If you have any questions please email me:

cut two squares of card 5 x 5 inches

Punch and score @ 2.5 inches on all four sides of both cards.

On one piece only trim off 3/8 th inch on all four sides.
On other piece Score @ 3/8 ths inch on all four sides. Then cut the corners off.

On piece that has been trimmed, cut out a square aperture in the centre. Do not discard.

From a spare piece of card, cut another slightly larger square.
Score the largest square @ 1/4 of an inch on one side only.
On the opposite to the score, cut a small slit (big enough for your ribbon to feed through.

On the edge of the piece of card with the aperture in, cut a small slit (as above)

Feed your ribbon through each piece, securing at the back

Fold both pieces on the score lines.
Decorate the larger square (with ribbon attached).
On inside glue the small square (aperture piece). Then add some red tape on the edge (where it has been scored - this is the hinge)

Cut a small piece of patterned paper 2.25 x 2.25 inches. Then cut diagonally in half, then cut each piece diagonally in half.....
..... to get four halves.
stick to lid.

Apply red tape on all four sides of the other piece of card.
VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!! Stick the pieces together like this first !!!!
Then side by side stick the other pieces together.

It should look like this !!

Small Gift Box made using the WRMK Envelope board........

Morning all, hope you are well & happy.

I go to friends on a Wednesday evening to craft ........ although not a lot of crafting gets done as there is too much talking and laughing going on !!. They asked me to be "teach" this week, so I had a look on pinterest to see if I could find something that we could do.

I found this small shaped gift box. It's made by using the WRMK envelope board. I bet you've all got one but hardly use it !!, well me too, so it was nice to make something different with it.

It can hold about 4/5 chocolates, or other small items. Would make nice "thank you teacher gifts".

I'm in the process of making instructions ....if you want them let me know, and I'll post them later this week.

Bye for now x

Sunflower Wedding Banner.......

Good Morning all, hope you've all had a smashing weekend. Here in Kent, it was a lovely sunny weekend. My youngest son came over for dinner on Sunday with his dog, so we went for a lovely walk before dinner, and before it got too hot to take the dogs out.

You may remember some time ago, I made a sunflower in a pot for a customer. She wanted it for her daughter, and liked the sunflower so much, she asked if I could do some bunting for her daughters wedding this summer. It has taken me a long time to crochet each flower and leaves. 120 petals !!!! I must say that I am really pleased with the result. I cut the lettering out of felt. I didn't have any suitable dies that were large enough, and my silhouette couldn't cope with the felt. So using word on my laptop, I printed off the words and cut them out. Then I was able to use them as the templates for the felt. I was going to sew them on, but decided to use fabric glue and glue them on instead.

I've shown the customer the photo, and she is much so that she has already paid me !! I will be seeing her tomorrow to give them to her.

Enjoy your week, and pop by again if you're able to xx
